Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies

The Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies is the championship dirt race for two year old fillies. In 2026, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships return to Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky, on October 30 and 31.

2026 race facts

The official 2026 Breeders’ Cup race schedule lists the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at 1 1/16 miles on dirt, or 1700 metres. The purse is $2 million and the maximum field is 14 starters.

Pre Entry for the World Championships closes at noon Eastern on October 19. The race is part of the Friday championship program for two year olds.

Why the Juvenile Fillies matters

The Juvenile Fillies brings together the leading young dirt fillies at the end of their first racing season. It is a championship target on its own and an important measure of the emerging three year old filly division for the following season.

The route toward Keeneland includes several major races in September and October. The Pocahontas Stakes at Churchill Downs on September 12 is part of the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Dozen program for this division. The Frizette at Belmont on October 3 is another important graded test before the championship fields are finalized.

Key 2026 season checkpoints

The Pocahontas, Frizette and Darley Alcibiades give developing fillies major opportunities to prove their class and stamina before Keeneland. The official Breeders’ Cup Challenge schedule identifies the Darley Alcibiades at Keeneland on October 2 as a qualifying race for the Juvenile Fillies.

These races help shape the division as the championship approaches. OTB Bet will update this hub when verified results, contender developments and final championship fields become available.
