The road to the 2026 Breeders’ Cup now has a clearer timetable. Breeders’ Cup announced Tuesday that NBC Sports will provide 10.5 hours of live coverage across USA Network, NBC and Peacock for the World Championships at Keeneland on October 30 and October 31.
The $7 million Breeders’ Cup Classic is scheduled to close Saturday’s championship program with a 6:16 p.m. Eastern post time. The Classic remains the centerpiece of a two day event featuring 14 Grade 1 championship races and more than $34 million in purses and awards.
Friday belongs to the juveniles
Future Stars Friday begins its championship sequence with the Juvenile Turf Sprint at 2:55 p.m. Eastern. The Juvenile Fillies follows at 3:35 p.m., the Juvenile Fillies Turf at 4:15 p.m., the Juvenile at 4:55 p.m. and the Juvenile Turf at 5:35 p.m.
USA Network is scheduled to carry Friday coverage from 1 p.m. through 6 p.m. Eastern, with Peacock and FanDuel TV also part of the viewing options announced by Breeders’ Cup.
Saturday builds toward the Classic
Saturday coverage begins on USA Network before moving to NBC at 3:30 p.m. Eastern. The later championship sequence includes the Filly and Mare Sprint at 3:42 p.m., the Mile at 4:20 p.m., the Distaff at 4:58 p.m., the Turf at 5:36 p.m. and the Classic at 6:16 p.m.
The schedule gives racing fans an early framework for planning championship weekend while the final fields are still taking shape through the remaining qualifying races.
Why the announcement matters now
OTB Bet is following the final weeks of Breeders’ Cup preparation closely. Belmont Park’s upcoming Beldame, Flower Bowl and Vosburgh all carry direct championship implications, while Forever Young already secured a Classic berth by winning the Jockey Club Gold Cup.
The announced race order and post times remain subject to change. Breeders’ Cup says the final official race order and post times will be released October 21.
